5th and 6th Grade Program Details
This program is a competitive travel program, but it still focuses on player development. Travel includes Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Bucks County. The league divides teams using a three-tier system, which balances out the skill levels between teams. AGLC will hold tryouts in January to determine the placement of players based on their skill levels. All players will be placed on a team.
Tryouts: TBD
Equipment: Each player will need a mouthguard, lacrosse goggles, and a women’s lacrosse stick.
Players will receive a practice pinnie to keep.
Uniforms will be borrowed and returned at the end of the season.
Practice: Weeknights from 6:00 to 7:30. Twice a week. The days are determined by the volunteer coach. Practice may begin in early March.
Games: Typically, Saturday and Sunday mornings, as early as 8:00 and as late as 12:00 noon. There may be weeknight games. In the past, they were held under the lights from 7:00 to 8:00. Players are expected to show up 30 minutes before each game.
Participation: Attendance is expected. Lack of attendance could cause the player to be sent to a lower-tier team.
2025 Schedule: The top-tier team may play as early as March 1st and may have March practices. The full season for all 5th and 6th-grade teams most likely will begin in March. The season will end in late May.
